The 2026 English Senior Fell Running Championship has a date and an entry process. Alderman's Ascent, set for Saturday 25th July, is a short counter in the English Championship series, which means it carries particular significance for those chasing the overall title.

Entry is tiered and starts immediately. Those on the Guaranteed Entry List have until 09:00 on Friday 22nd May to secure their place. The window is tight but fair, giving priority to runners who've earned their spot through previous performances.

From 10:00 on Friday 22nd May, FRA members can enter, with that window closing at 09:00 on Friday 29th May or when 70% of places fill, whichever comes first. Any remaining spots then open to all runners from 10:00 on Friday 29th May, with a waiting list in place if the event reaches capacity.

This short counter format means the race will draw strong fields and closer competition across the standings. Fell runners planning their summer calendar should note the date and entry deadlines carefully. Registration is through Si-Entries, so head there to book your spot.
