Sarah Webster’s Mind blowing 24 hour Performance
If you don’t know who Sarah Webster is then you soon will. An incredible endurance runner who spent many years on the Isle of Man and recently has moved back to the UK has just put in an incredible performance in the 24hr track race at Crawley this weekend.
Sarah has been an endurance runner for many years but just stepped up to the bigger ultra distances in the last few. On her first go she took down a long standing British record for 100K. Now she has some more records to add to her belt (subject to ratification).
During her FIRST go (again!) at a 24 hour race. Sarah got the 100 mile British record coming in just over 14 hours. Not only that she gets the 24 hr British record running an incredible 243.2 KM in 24 hours. This didn’t just get the female win but the overall win by a significant number of miles.
Take a look at her lap times… her final few laps were incredibly fast with her final 608th lap being almost 20 seconds faster than her first. An outstanding show of determination, athleticism and endurance. Well done Sarah … take a bow and a lie down please!
