The fast and furious Valencia marathon took place on the 1st December 2024. An incredible route around the town which has recently seen devastating floods.

Local runner Christa Cain has had a fantastic year and she finished it off with a bang. Running in the elite field with some of the top women in marathon running from across the world, including Gerda Styen ( Comrades winner 2024) and Carla Molinaro ( 100k world champ 2023- you many remember her as she won the race Sarah Webster came third in last year) Fionnuala McCormack Irish Olympian and Sara Hall American Olympian to name but a small few!

Christa had a fantastic race and finishing 57th woman overall and breaking the manx record in the process. Setting a new record of 2:39:10.

Fantastic effort and congratulations.
