British Fell Running Championships

The Manx Fell Runners sent a 6 strong team to the British Fell running relays in Appletreewick in the Yorkshire dales.

The Manx fell runners had hoped to send 3 teams however restrictions in the surrounding areas meant there were limited numbers and teams were balloted. Only the male team were successful for entry.

There are four legs - hitting the team off in the first leg was Nick Colburn who tackled the short sharp 5 mile route against some very strong teams. Nick came in 26th and passed onto Harry Kneen and Sam Jones for the pairs legs. This is a longer route consisting of bogs, trails and some tough climbing! The Duo came in in 30th position and passed onto the next pair for the navigation leg. Tom Cringle and Lloyd Taggart take on the challenge and challenge it was! This was a very tough route to navigate with large walls, sheep ravines and rivers to add to the difficulty of the route choice.

They came in 43rd position end passed onto final team member for the last short sharp leg. Saul Bradley on his first ever race across brought the team home in 47th position out of 145.

Well done Manx Fell Runners.
