It’s been a busy weekend with events off the rock. The world champs for the backyard ultras go on still, in fact they are only warming up! On Sunday night at 10pm there are 13 runners still in the mix in the UK race which is phenomenal considering the weather.

Unfortunately the Irish team had to abandon their race as their venue became too dangerous in the wind. The leading country has changed a number of times, however number 1 seed and world record holder Harvey Lewis continues still. This could go on for days more. The second night will start to see a lot of dropouts so things will look very different on Monday evening! Belgium, New Zealand and USA lead currently. The UK are in 11th.

This weekend also saw the finale of the golden trail World Series with a very foggy fast and furious finish in Switzerland.

Joyce Njeru and Elhousine Elazzaoui taking the crowns in their respective series.
